Jane and Mak provide Mushroom Matrix testimonial

American dressage rider Jane Hannigan started her talented Grand Prix horse, Maksymillian on the Mushroom Matrix soon after meeting the developer of the product, Dr. Hausman at the prestigious 2007 Palm Beach Dressage Derby in Florida, where the Mushroom Matrix was introduced to the east coast.

“Mak has a tendency to be tense and rather spooky. We tried the Mushroom Matrix and actually found that he’s calmer. He’s taking the training better and he’s matured a lot as a horse. That’s a big difference,” Hannigan said. (Click to read the article at Dressage Daily...)

Image Jane Hannigan is the head of Team Hannigan.  She has competed at FEI level Dressage since she was 15 years old. She is currently showing at the Grand Prix level with Maksymilian after a successful 2005 competition season on the small tour culminating at the Intermediare I Championship at Gladstone. She and Mak finished out the winter of 2005 with three months of training with US Olympic Dressage Team Coach Klaus Balkenhol at his facility in Germany.  She won the Grand Prix Freestyle with a 70 percent at HITS on the Hudson in Saugerties, NY in August of 2006 and finished off 2006 with a 5th place in the Grand Prix at Devon. Currently she is training with Olympian Robert Dover and together they are making tremendous strides polishing Team Hannigan to an international caliber pair. They are working on a brand new freestyle to be debuted this summer.

Image Maksymilian is a 13 year old Dutch Warmblood by Elcaro. He was imported from the Netherlands when he was six years old.  Jane said the first time she sat on Mak she kept hearing theme songs playing in her head and knew she had found her partner.  He has very elastic gaits and an extension worthy of a 10. The first hurdle she had to overcome with Mak was his fear. Number one, he was afraid of birds. Birds would swoop through the barn, or through his stall and he would duck for cover every time.  It is funny to think of him terrified of those wee little birds now seeing him confident and powerful in the dressage ring. He was afraid of everything - dogs, children, brushes, judges, flowers, flapping tents. But Jane kept a steady gentle manner with him, and Mak built his confidence through his trust in her.
